the kings garden in versailles is still growing fruits and vegetables in the same plots they used when louis quatorze was running the show. training and pruning these trees takes decades of careful attention and planning. pics above of our bounty from the potager market and versailles farmers market. for the money i prefer the potager to the chateau.
dead velibs
having had ridden half a block many times only to discover the velib i was riding only had one functioning gear and no brakes, i really appreciate social signals like this created to save others from the hassle that they just went through. flip the seat so it faces backwards and save someone the trouble of having to find out the hard way that the bike they are riding may kill them.

i just made the switch to a traditional safety razor after i picked up this great travel merkur. it breaks down into 4 pieces and comes with a case for travel. it shaves the same as my old one and blades are 1/10th the price. via manufactum
