trail of crumbs reviews candelaria and posts some stunning photos of the space cheri and I designed shot by photographer danielle rubi.

here we go! CANDELARIA is a brand new taqueria / hidden cocktail den in paris. cheri and I spent the last few months wearing many hats as architects, furniture designers, interior decorators, builders, and painters working to with an incredible team converting a beige box into something really special. 100 glass balls were carried as carry-on luggage from rome, former wood concrete forms were re-purposed into flooring and a beautiful bar and tables (by the talented adrian rubi-dentzel), keren richter and amy jo diaz popped in from new york and los angeles to fill the walls with their beautiful murals and artwork. And Ashley Helvey, Adeline Vengud, Mary Manning, Jacqueline Booth Di Milia, Alison Reid, Confetti System, Clarisse Demory, Alejandra Felmer and Jacky Georges also lent a talented hand to take things to the next level. A big high-five to everyone who helped out. And next time you’re in Paris, please stop by for a taco or cocktail. If you prefer the later, just push on the back wall…

after 2 attempts myself, i realized i should call the maestro. with more than 50 years in the business of sign painting in paris, we’re lucky to have jacky on board at candelaria. great tacos and tasty cocktails in paris (bientôt).
