Conductor turns the New York subway system into an interactive string instrument. Using the MTA’s actual subway schedule, the piece begins in realtime by spawning trains which departed in the last minute, then continues accelerating through a 24 hour loop. The visuals are based on Massimo Vignelli’s 1972 diagram.

cheri and i have been hard at work designing, conspiring and getting candelaria the new taqueria and cocktail bar in paris ready for the public. collaborators include: Keren Richter, Amy Jo Diaz, Ashley Helvey, Adeline Vengud, Mary Manning, Jacqueline Booth Di Milia, Alison Reid, Confetti System, Clarisse Demory, Adrian Rubi-Dentzel, and Jacky Georges.

while in california for the holidays cheri and i had the opportunity to stop by memphis artist peter shire‘s studio in echo park, he was nice enough to chat with us for awhile and fire up the studio espresso machine for me. i could have poked around in there for days but unfortunately we only had an hour. pics stolen from scout holiday
