the campbell apartment was once an office leased by john campbell from cornelius vanderbilt in 1923. after his death in 1957, the space eventually became a signalman’s office and later a closet at grand central, where the transit police stored guns and other equipment. It also became a small jail, in the area of the present-day bar.

last week antoine was kind enough to point us in the direction of merci, a new shop that his studio, be-pôles did the graphic design for. their ekographik series of printed bags (this one is a printed baguette bag, the same kind you see at boulangerie’s) instantly caught my eye. merci’s 3-levels are filled with all the essentials, from clothing and housewares to a florist and café. 111 boulevard Beaumarchais 75003 Paris

the musee de la chasse et de la nature is dedicated to the art of hunting and nature. each room or cabinet in the mansion turned exhibition space is a devoted to a separate theme – its definitely worth a visit if you’re in paris.
